Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Legislation Advancing Through House, Please Call Your State Representative Immediately, Ask Them To Sign Rep. Joe McKenna’s Letter To House Ways & Means Committee Urging Support Of GOAL’s Compassionate Alternative Language!
Yesterday, House Speaker Robert DeLeoheld a press conference at Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, where he announced plans to move forward with H.3610, An Act temporarily preventing firearm access for extremely dangerous or suicidal individuals, filed by Representative Marjorie Decker(D) of Cambridge. As we have reported in the past, H.3610 is cruel & dangerous, we hope that our legislators realize this and instead support GOAL’s compassionate alternative.
Take action immediately!
Today, please call your state representative at the Massachusetts State House, 617-722-2000 (click here to look up your legislator’s direct phone number). Please ask your representative to contact Rep. Joe McKenna’s office, and urge them to sign onto Rep. McKenna’s letter.
Ask your legislators not to support legislation that would harm those in need of just a little counseling while allowing dangerous individuals to roam our neighborhoods and schools!
Harming good people while setting potential killers loose is not an answer, it is a tremendous problem.
