GUN OWNERS’ ACTION LEAGUE CONCERNED BY JUDGES DECISION RE: HEALEY ENFORCEMENT NOTICE.
Northborough, MA. The Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) announced today their concern with the ruling, released by Justice William Young, concerning GOAL’s lawsuit against Attorney General Maura Healey regarding her enforcement notice of July 20, 2016.
The order, which found in favor of Healey’s motion to dismiss the case, sets a dangerous precedent for our democratic system of government. “We have two main concerns here” said GOAL Executive Director Jim Wallace, “first, it’s not just the gun issue, but more of a big picture issue. We hope that everyone is concerned by this judge blatantly giving an Attorney General unbridled authority to interpret any law, in any way they want.”
At this time GOAL is consulting with their legal team and will plan to announce plans moving forward soon.
Following AG Healey’s July 2016 enforcement notice, GOAL filed suit to protect law-abiding Massachusetts citizens from further violations of their Second Amendment right to choose effective firearms for defense of their homes.
Gun Owners’ Action League is a 100% member supported organization whose sole focus is to protect and restore Second Amendment rights for Massachusetts citizens, and promote the safe and lawful use of firearms.
