I would like to know what GOAL is doing about this bill H.4102 an act to reduce firearm violence. Which only over dose are alread crappy gun laws. I am recently unemployeed an willing to donate time and effort into reversing all the very bad legislation in this state. We are supposed to be the state where freedom was born. In the first act of defience against the British. Instead we have turned into the British monarchy Taxing everything. Taxes on top of taxes. Also Some of the worst gun laws in the country. I want my freedom and state back to where it should be.

Why even Liberal Democrats in this state should support GOAL and the Second Amendment. Things in life change, it may be that a loved one gets threatened or harassed. It might be your daughter, son , sister, wife or your mother. YOU CONTACT THE POLICE AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS. You feel it in your stomach that something bad is going to happen. You should have the right to protect your family and property. It shouldn’t take three or six months to get a license, it should take a week or less after you take the gun safety course.

The best thing we can do to protect our rights is vote out politicians who don’t support the US Constitution (Martha Coakley, Gov. Patrick and the majority of the rest). Democratic gun owners need to choose a side, you can’t support Democratic politicians who want to ban guns just because you are a Democrat. Leave the Democratic Party until they change their views on guns or they at least read John Lotts' book, More Guns Less Crime.

I have worked in law enforcement for ten years and almost 100% of the police, and state troopers I talk to say the gun laws in this state make no sense. The laws need to be much harsher for felons that carry a firearm (five years mandatory, state prison). If someone uses a gun to commit a crime, 10 years mandatory. If a criminal shoots someone while committing a crime 20 years. If a criminal kills someone while committing a crime, life no chance of parole.

The best short term step we can make is to vote for State Senator Scott Brown in the special election for US Senate, tell everyone you know.
